• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First 3000 service

If you document it well--they should. The only thing in question would be you will not have a BUDS report.

Most recommend doing the initial break-in service at a dealer--just in case an issue crops up. Best for them to catch it then.

Agree..!!

:agree: I always have them do the first. Buds stores the service by hours of use. I now have over 28,000 miles but buds knows it was not serviced in over 650 hours of runnng time. The accumulated hours pops up on the digital as you press the mode button.

I would have them do the first service.
If there are any BUDs updates (code) they will update your Spyder. They also see if your having any issues with BUDs (codes or constant faults). They also check the belt tension on this service which based on me seeing other Spyders is needed.
So it's not just an oil change.

+1! I also had a bunch of small questions not covered in the operator's manual and got to ask the tech about them.
