• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Flight

First Flight.jpg
The engineer in me just had to marvel at how the Wright brothers figured the elements to achieve flight for the fight time. The stiff breeze off the ocean blowing directly up the hill. The hill itself not too steep to cause a nose over, yet steep enough to contribute to the push from the surely underpowered little engine they used. I can see in my minds' eye the descent to gain speed, then the gentle pull back on the stick as the engine raced behind him and that moment when everything seemed to stop as an ungainly ground vehicle became a thing of grace and beauty as it took to the air for the first time........What a cusp event that was! Awesome!

Flight path

Lovely pic of a significant place in flight history.

Thanks for the memorializeation of a fantastic time in our worlds aeronautic past.

I'm going to be flying pretty high this afternoon too, if all goes as planned.

I shall keep you informed on the ultimate progress.
