Fog light switch

I would like to know if the fog light switch can you used as a switch for some other light or as a switch for something else other than the fog lights. Anyone knows the part number if the switch can be purchase by itself.

I was thinking about this myself. I want to tie in some amber plasma rods so those go on with the fogs. If I am in fog, I not only want to see, I want to be seen.

I called my dealer parts dept and was told that I can't order just the switch, it comes as part of the whole fog light wire harness. Need to fine some other place to order the switch.
