• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those allergic to the weather.......

A 70 year old lady rode her Spyder to Spyderfest----- as did an awesome lady from Michigan who has one arm and uses a foot pedal for the gas!

No sissies here in Cuba!

:roflblack: Thanks Dan!

I already posted in my other thread that cancelling may be a decision I regret for a long time, and that you could feel free to rub it in. I should have known you would take me up on the offer.

I hope you all have a great time.

You mean the awesome lady with one arm and crazy boots who dries her laundry on trees at the Best Western? :roflblack:

Yup- that would be her!

Was really impressed with your gas pedal setup and how well it all works for you!

Yeah-- I knew you could handle some razzing about this..... :D

Really wish you guys could have made it...

:D
BTW-- I'm not joking about the lady from Michigan who uses a gas pedal on her Spyder.

I didn't think you were joking about that. You may be creative, but not creative enough to make something like that up. :D

I am glad to hear you were able to make the trip to Spyderfest and hope you have a blast there. Sorry I won't get to meet you this time around.

For those of us out West watching TWC, it looked like you couldn't get to MO with a boat - not to mention being worried about being hit by Dorothy's house!!!

Glad you made it there safely, but only my cage will cross the great divide....

What's that yellow thing in the sky? It burns my eyes!

Glad to hear it, and I wish all of you the best while there and trying to make it home again.

This is a time when I can't win no matter what as the weather system has made it to us now with thunderstorms and a tornado watch. There is no way I can tell what the right decision would have been in this instance, and I truly feel for all of those who have been devestated by these storms. The death toll continues to climb and that is not good at all.

You have to get pictures of these two ladies and there bikes oops i mean roadsters. nojokenojoke or ask some one to do it.

The Interstates are fine. There's very few things Mother Nature can throw at us that'll shut down the routes for interstate commerce.

I took a run down to Arkansas yesterday on Missouri Route 19. There were only two spots where water was over the road. One was shallow enough to ford, the other had a convienent bypass through a business.

While I'm sure it's bad in some localities, the media tends to over-hype events.

Interstate 75 was completely blocked for a while yesterday with tractor trailers thrown into ditches, and trees and cars all over the road. They went in with large front end loaders and were basically shoving the vehicles and debris off the interstate in an attempt to clear it as quickly as possible. One video clip I saw showed a UPS truck that looked it had been through a war zone, it was on its side and only recognizeable by the logo you could still see on it. nojoke

Today in Michigan it is 43 degrees, cloudy, windy and intermittent light rain.

Another year of missing Spyderfest because my wife didn't want to go. At this rate I will be dead before I ever make it to Spyderfest. I just couldn't talk her into it. I told her we could trailer the Spyder down there, no go.

The other day she said that maybe I need a new wife that likes the same things I do. :hun:

Sorry to hear that you weren't able to go to Spyderfest either. I sure hope it doesn't come down to the new wife deal, as that can be a very expensive proposition. Have you been able to go to any other events? I sure hope so.
