• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel gauge no longer accurate after cannisterectomy?

OK....I recently did the "cannisterectoy" on my 14 ST. 990 Engine. Im postin this here because this applys to all of those engines. I highly recommend this! I wish I had done it years ago. Anyway......I filled it up a few days ago n the gauge did not show it full for a few mins.......I knew I had filled it because I was checkin the miles per gallon to see if the bypass had changed it. After ridein 103 miles the gauge showed it was down to 3 barrs left. SO I fill it up again n it takes only 3 gallons. Thats a good thing.....Still 35 mpg. BUT The gauge was lower than 3 gals. And after fillin up it did not show it full again. I made sure it was full ;) My question is....Has anyone else had this kind of thing happen? TYIA :)

I did a Canisterectomy a few years ago. It fixed my surging problem, but didn't effect anything else.

Yep, strange things can happen when you mess with anything BRP. I recently did a "gauge-ectomy," and I'm becoming use to judging and comparing the odometer reading with the fuel gauge now that it's digital. Takes some getting used to. Be sure and fill up before the last bar goes bye bye, because you don't have much fuel left. Someone here has carried extra fuel and run out the last bar, but i don't recall what they said they got for millage on that bar. Maybe someone else here knows how many miles of fuel you have left when the last bar shows. One thing i did notice is that i got 5 more miles to the gallon  NOT!:joke:
