There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Geez Dreamer, the Basic Training I went thru in the Navy (a few decades ago now) was a whole lot different to that shown on your poster..... :yikes:
In fact, since there's no sweating blood on the recruits, nor bared canines, facial hair, &/or knuckle dragging callouses evident on the NCO's visible in any of those 'sample pics', none of those shown appear to be like what we went thru back then... :shocked:
But you do hafta realise that the older I get the better I was!

:agree: Hubby went through Navy Basic Training (a few decades ago.) Son went through Navy Basic Training in the early 2000s.

Yep, has completely chancha now. I just retired after 24 yrs in the Army. Cant do hardly any of the stuff you could when i first joind. One of the reasons I knew it was time to go. I worked with quite a few of Aus folks on my last deployment to Afghanistan. I was flying these over there.
