• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuse #8 in Frunk

A couple of weeks ago my horn wouldn't work. It kinda sorta upset me because it was shortly after I'd lost three weekends waiting for a part and the dealership had also inspected it. Service manager told me to stop by and they would take a look at it. Turns out it was a fuse, replaced it and off I went.

This weekend the horn didn't work, the grips didn't heat and the frunk switch didn't work. It's a miserable day, the dealer is 25 miles down the road so I decided to check out the fuses. Well, it seems that all 3 of those things are on the same fuse and it was blown again.

My question. Why? Anyone else have that happen? By the way getting at that fuse is a PITA, my ole body won't contort very well any more, not that it ever did. LOL

There is obviously a short in the system, which is blowing the fuse. could be the heated grips, the horn, or the trunk (less likely). Try usingh only one piece at a time, to she which blows it. Better yet, take it to your dealer and let them track it down. It isn't always easy, and certainly can't be done over the Internet.

Scotty, thanks for the reinforcement, I figured that was what would be recommended. I just went past 12,000 miles, a new seat is waiting for me, factory replacement, I've got a Utopia backrest on order, due to be made and shipped the 31st that I think I'll have the dealer install while they already have the seat off and now this. Could be another interesting visit.

Fuse #8 powers the load-shedding relay, so a lot of things will not work if it blows, including the rear suspension. It is important to have this checked out soon...and pretty convenient, too.
