After reading your post Harry, I took mine out and it seems to work fine. At least there is a screen to see what the lens sees. With my GoPro Hero, I had to see what it took after hooking up the card to a computer to see if recorder or not. SUCK!

You may want to exchange it for another unit. Call to make sure they have another in stock.

When powered off and the USB plugged in do you get a blue charge led?

Someone said its not the camera it's a bad batch of batteries, I will run by best buy at the weekend and swap my local store as quite a few.

I received my drift HD 720 today, I have charging issues on both.

Battery is in the right way round, I have tried in both computer usb and iPad usb charger. As you plug the lead in the blue light flashes for a split second and then nothing.

It will turn on and work on usb power, the unit as to be off to charge. The battery is not charged as the unit won't power on with out the usb in.

I send an email to support via the support site, interestingly on their facebook page there are many others having this issue as well but no solution posted.

Not too worried, worse scenario I return to Best Buy, But I did want them to work.

After i charged my battery, i unplugged it and then decided to plug it back up to stay charged, the light would not come on again, i am assuming that with a full charge the light may come on for a second when plugged in but then immediately go back out. Your battery may be fully charged. :dontknow:

I have this fixed now, bad batteries...

I thought the same thing except it did not work on battery power. Spoke with drift excellent customer service, they overnighted replacement batteries and all working now.

The MicroSDHC PNY brand 32 GB, 10 MB/s write speed was on sale for $29.99 so I got one for the Drift. Also go the same as a 8MB to go into my Megellen eXplorist 650 GPS on sale for $12.99.

Where did you purchase the 32GB?...I paid close to $70...but all seems to be working fine
