Garmin Zumo 660 Issue

I had an issue where my Garmin would not communicate with the PC to do updates. After much testing the Garmin Tech, we found that some USB cables are for charging only and others are for Data/Charging. If your Garmin does not connect with the PC find another USB cable and try again. They should include one with the unit!

I had the 660 installed by the dealer, a BRP unit, and the USP cable came with it. It works great. FYI

Thanks - I haven't had an issue (yet). I am always using different cables so if I DO have an issue, I will know what to swap out before escalating the problem.

My Garmin worked great one day and dead the next wont even turn on so i tried to charge and turn on and nothing :cus: guess its time for a new one?

Sometimes mine does that too. Try taking the battery out and then put it back in. Works for me.

Same thing happened to me..You might want to check and make sure it's wired correctly..My dealer installed it but wired it to a dead lead that wasn't capable of charging or running the GPS off a hot wire....Result...It ran great for about 4 hours until the internal battery died....As soon as we rewired it, the GPS performed perfectly.

Battery, same thing happened to me.

That is the same thing that happened to me. I took the battery out , it has model # on it. Went on ebay found the battery there bought two (one for back up) and have not had a problem since . ray:
