• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas guage indicator

I have an 2011 RT Limited. Has anybody had trouble with the gas guage needle fluctuating up & down. Can't be sure how much gas I really have while traveling.

Yup. Welcome to the world of the analog gauge. You'll find MANY posts about it. I'm a 2010. I disconnected both the fuel and temp gauges like most have and the readings switch to the screen where speed and other things appear. MUCHO better. It is really a 10-15min job.

As Phil said this happens to a lot of the RTs and as I understand it also happens to a lot of other motorcycles too. I would suggest that you have your dealer replace it even if you plan to disconnect them and use the digital gauges just so that the factory knows about the problem. I've had 3 gauges fail and I finally disconnected them and I really like the digital gauges better.

welcome to the club

As Phil said, this is unfortunately a common problem on most RTs. Like many, we disconnected our analogue gauges & they both show up now on the center LCD screen & they both seem much more stable & accurate. If you'd like to do it also, its easy. Just remove the 4 bolts that hold the dash bezel in place, disconnect both wire sets to the analogue gauges, push the loose wires back into the dash area & replace your dash bezel with the 4 bolts. Once you turn the Spyder back on, your fuel will show up on the right side of the LCD screen & it toggles with your audio volume control. Your temp. gauge will show on the left side of the LCD display & it toggles with the push button rear suspension control.

I personally like the digital read-outs better & it gave me room to add the cup-holder & LCD rear-view camera system to keep an eye on Teddy.

Granted, BRP has some work to do on this issue & I do believe they actually have a next-gen gauge replacement out, tho I'd think they'd have them on newer units from the factory, but what do I know:lecturef_smilie: Hope u find a suitable solution that works for you.
