• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost ready to pull the trigger on an RT S. I need to know what to buy as far as a comm system, I want to be able to talk with my passenger, listen to the radio / ipod and also use the phone. I know there are several options, but they all say they are the best. Please help.

Well my Missus just yelled at me for a year and a half. It kept her happy and I had no trouble hearing her. (My selective hearing needs some work! :gaah:)
This year we bought the Scalarider Teamset Pro wireless intercom and have been pretty darn happy with them. You can "Bluetooth" your phone to it, plug your MP3 player in, or just listen to the stereo; The VOX microphones will kick the intercom into play when it's needed...
Happy shopping!

Helmet to Helmet comm systems are my recommendation.

Both Scala and Sena seem to be popular choices here. I use Scala-Cardo 2's--but am thinking of upgrading to Cardo 4's while still available.

The Cardo 4s can communicate much farther between the headsets than my Teamset Pros; right? I think that they would work better for bike to bike than just as a mere intercom system.

Cardo 2's are about 1600 feet--straight line--a block or so separation maximum. The Cardo 4's are supposed to communicate for up to a mile between bikes. They can also be paired with two additional sets for communication between 4 people.

I have the CARDO G9's pair and not very fond of them. If I got the purchase money back I would be far more inclined to try the Interfone F5 instead. G9's not very user friendly and don't function all that well in voice command mode. I end up talking to the little voice, almost arguing as I will say one thing and she does something else (like having two wives). End up shutting it off and re-starting it to clear her "brain-fart.":banghead: 6 buttons that you have to remember to press in different sequence and the same buttons will do multiple things depending if you hold them for a short press or a long press. Who designed this junk???:gaah:

Their G9 website leaves a lot to be desired too. They need to hire a 16 year old to do it so it will have proper layout and functionality.

So if I understand correctly?

I should get a set of bluetooth headsets and use my iphone for music etc and forget about the onboard radio etc. or spend several hundred more dollars andget the CB GPS setup?:bdh:
