Gold Plug crush washers (dumb question)

This maybe the dumb question of the day: When replacing the standard OEM CanAm Allen wrench oil tank and engine plugs with the replacement Gold Plug magnetic plugs....do I use the OEM BRASS crush washers from CanAm

or do I use the aluminum GOLD Plug crush washers?

or is there no real difference?

I probably have 7 or 8 oil changes with the Gold plug and have never done anything with the washer.

choices, choices..!!

It's up to you. You have those doing fine without changing the washers and you will have those who feel they are cheap so change them. Be it aluminum or cooper they were designed to conform to any imperfection in the mating surfaces. I have a lot of years working on engines and have seen reused crush washers fail many times. I change them, many filters come with them and the o-rings..jmo...:dontknow:
