• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS again

Did they replace the CB antenna, cable, and ground strap asmbly?

I have mentioned this to the dealer several times but so far they have not done this to my knowledge.
When I got back from Spyderfest I took it back to the dealer again. the tech was too busy and I'm supposed to come back this Saturday and they are going go over the settings on the CB one more time. I also emailed and called BRP again to report that the problem was not resolved.
I got another call from Lynn at BRP today. She told that tech support is not available on Sat. so I need to leave on a weekday but she will give tech support a call and maybe they can give the dealer some things to check on Sat. I also informed that the GPS will sometimes work correctly for a short time and then revert to the speakers and that when you input and instruction on the GPS for.split second I can hear the radio and static thru the speakers. Weird! Must be some feed back in the system somewhere. This is more annoying and frustrating than anything but for $1000 it should work correctly!

Another trip to the dealer and still no resolution to the GPS problem. The tech and I now both agree that the instructions are from both the headset and speakers simultaneously. But we don't agree on whether this is the way it supposed to function. He says he doesn't know and will have to call BRP for clarification and I say it definitely shouldn't function this way. They don't have a unit with a GPS to test mine on or compare functions to. So I'll fire off another email and fax to BRP. If I call I just talk to a rep who has no technical knowledge and they have to note the problem and forward it to a technical person and then tell you to take it to the dealer. I wish I could my tech, the BRP tech and myself in a 3-way conversation ant this problem.

Well after all this time (abt a year) this their story and they're sticking to it. I got a call from BRP this afternoon and according to their techs the 2010 RTs /GPS units do have the instructions come thru both the headsets and the speakers simultaneously. This was changed (rectified ) with the 2011 model and I can change the cluster if I want to change the way mine functions. NO THANK YOU! Seems to me others here with '10's have said the it's don't function this way. Maybe trading it in a couple of years anyway.
By the way, while talking to my tech he mentioned that he really likes the way the new models ride so much that he recommends that I not test tide one unless I plan on trading.

I had my cluster changed out because on the 2010s, the only way to fix the PTT sticking TX was to change the cluster. I didn't like the GPS directions coming out the front speakers so I was glad that the new cluster fixed that as well. I would be happy to call you if want to PM me.

Thanks but I don't have the TX prob and although annoying I'm not going to have the cluster changed just for the GPS problem.

I'm glad you haven't had the sticking TX problem. Also, the updated cluster allows the 2010s to use the Bluetooth cellphone interface cable. (Cluster was changed out under warranty)
