• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS or phone mount on F3

Looking for a GPS or a phone mount for my Spyder F3-S. A few friends have RT-S and they both have the Garmin GPS that comes with the limited. I like that GPS but don't like the idea of spending 800 on the GPS and then having to have it wired to the bike. On a trip last weekend my iPhone was much more accurate with the directions but I had to put the phone on the gauges. One of the issues I have is to make it waterproof and keep power to it, or to be able to select to plug it in.

Here's what I use on my F3

Navigation substitute for $800 Spyder option.

I purchased nüvi® 65LMT by Garmin. 6" screen that just fits in the center of the handlebar housing. I haven'd found an accepable mounting bracket as of yet but I just started looking. The $ price of the Garmin Nuvi65LMT is in the $150 range(I don't remember exact cost) but it works better than my internal Navigation on my 2012 GMC acadia Denali & has an ear plug ouput jack to hear the voices over engine noise if necessary. Let me know if U locate an acceptable inexpensive mounting bracket. I have a few mounting option brackets from Go Pro & a Beltronics radar detector that won't be that difficult to fabricate fitment..

Look around here. My GPS swivel works on the 660/665/590 for sure.
