GPS question for wiring harness?

Hello,

This is my first post and I have to thank everyone for all the informative posts that I've read before buying. This site helped me purchase a spyder :clap:. I'm a military firefighter going to the UK and I wanted the Spyder RT-S for long tours in Europe. As a young dude I like the crotch rockets but the Spyder+wife= great scenery/longer rides in the future. I have to say the :ani29: is absolutely amazing and I truly love it!

Now on to my first question: I have a Zumo 660... If I just buy the GPS support and harness (http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/390195/219400318/_/GPS_Support_and_Harness) all I need is to get the dealer to install and I am good to go right? Or am I missing something?

Should work fine. Not a hard installation after you get through the Tupperware!

No you don't ! But if you want to here it in your helmet you will need the entertainment harness,CB and helmet cords,mike and speakers or a blue tooth set-up (Scala)

Without the entertainment harness will I be able to hear it through the spyder speakers? I have a Bluetooth helmet. If I can't hear through the speakers I can use a Bluetooth receiver in the rear console.

Just do it yourself. Included instructions are fantastic.

Yes, you will be able to hear the GPS through the speakers without the entertainment harness.

What I'm not sure of is, if you have the GPS hardwired to the external speakers of the RT, does that disable the bluetooth, or vice versa ?

That's a feature of the GPS and has nothing to do with the RT system.

We could hear the GPS through the speakers and through our Scala G4 blue tooth.
