• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone found a non-OEM 80 amp main fuse replacement?

A Google search for "80 a motorcycle fuse can-am spyder" found several sources.

The one the BRP site says contact your dealer, and lists a part number of: 710008102

I also found it, with the same part number, here:

That site has a list of vehicles it fits in, so confirm it's the right fuse for your bike.

that is where i got the part number...brp oem fiche does not list it. i have it on order from my dealerI( avail in january) trying to locally(quicker) source it thanks.

I had to wait 6 months (from June to December) to get mine from the dealer. You may need to stay on your dealer to keep checking with BRP and open a case if it doesn't show up as expected. Else you'll get, three weeks, three weeks, three weeks, etc.

Since I couldn't wait for the OEM replacement, I purchased an 80 amp bolt on auto fuse, one from Napa and one from Autozone. Managed to drop one of them into the magic pit below the battery (I'm assuming it is magic because the fuse disappeared) and was a bit more careful with the other one. Obviously, doesn't install like the OEM version. I bolted the replacement directly to the cable ends and wrapped with electrical tape. It has worked fine for 6 months and 14k miles, though one of these days I'll get in there and install the OEM one to get things back to normal.

Did you check with motorsport.com to see if they had it in stock?

Edit: I did a Google Shopping search, and Partzilla.com also has a listing for it.

I work for Canam dealer they say Jan 6 delivery. i did get one from NAPA store.... did not fit oem box. bolting it in as described then heat shrinking around it seems like a viable option. plan b if oem delivery is delayed. oh btw self induced voltage malfunction blew fuses but no smoke or visible harness damage. found NO service parts for oem shinlin alternator anywhere either hope i dont need them. thanks for the reply's
