• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone tried the Can-Am factory optional swaybar on their Ryker?

Can-Am has anyone tried the thicker swaybar for the Ryker from Can-Am?
I know Ron has a good kit, but my hands don't work as good as they used to.
My local dealer is good, but will not install aftermarket parts.

Find a shop that will, maybe a custom bike shop if you have one around you! Myself, if Can-Am knows they have weak sway bars and have a replacement that there proud of, why aren't they just putting it on to start with. Maybe someone out there has one on their bike and can tell you if it works! Good luck, I can tell you it's not a big deal to install!!!

The BRP upgrade bar for the Ryker will give some handling improvement. But the fact that the OEM plastic links are still used with confidence is an indicator that it isn't that much different.

There are a few things that come into play here. We didn't build a sway bar for the Ryker just because we could. If the BRP upgrade was everything it needed to be, we would be purchasing them from BRP. But beyond the fact that it isn't all it could be, there are significant install concerns.

The way the Ryker sway bar and surrounding components are engineered, the disassembly of steering and suspension parts is required to install their upgrade bar. This adds significant time and difficulty to the process. Because there is no way to get these critical components back exactly as they were from the factory, a front end alignment then becomes necessary, adding more cost.

Our bar kit avoids all of these unnecessary steps, and it delivers much improved results over the OEM upgrade bar kit.
Though the bar kit itself is more expensive, the end result is much less costly, especially if you have the work done for you.

It is always good to do thorough research into suspension components before taking the plunge.

I have the optional bar along with BajaRon's end links. All installed as part of the new delivery package. It works well, with good mechanical grip and minimal understeer. If I was going to an autox event, I could use a stiffer bar to stick the front solid (along with some race-friendly front tires) plus with the usual shock and spring twiddling. So, if my bar was the stock bar and I was changing it, I would jump straight to Ron's package.

Thanks Toads, that's what I was thinking of doing.
Just wanted some input from someone who has one and how they liked it.
