• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Head light protector

I am looking for headlight protector for the RS series spyder. Only the RT series has it. But there is a cut out portion on both sides on the RS version where I can easily mount a head light protector. Can anyone give me an idea where I can find it?

The folks who offer the TricLeds make some pretty neat-looking stuff for the lights... Why don't you give them a holler and see if this is something that they'd like to look into?:dontknow: It might be worth a shot! :D

I have seen some car guys make their own back when headlight covers were just becoming popular. Would have to experiment with mounts i.e. velcro etc.

Yup--- I think the ones from F1 used velcro.

Problem was you had to remove them at night-- and that's when most the bugs hit you--- so not sure how functional they are other than for looks.:dontknow:

Something like this?

I can't remember this fellow's name, but he had a really nice Spyder with light covers at the Chicago owners event. Maybe someone recognizes him and can ask? (He's in the picture with the Spyder).

Thanks Firefly, that's it. I couldn't remember his ID for the life of me. Super nice guy... has his seat made out of snake skin. At the time he was trying to get the front fog lamp to turn with the handlebars. Not sure if he ever got it to or not. :dontknow:
