• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmet Strap Pad?

Rockwall

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good 1/2 helmet chin strap pad? I have been looking everywhere and cannot find one that I like.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

You could try fabric stores and pick up some nice thick VELVET with maybe some added cusion inside like the thin stuff that comes with some packaging.......or a small pice of sheep skin...............I'm a D.I.Y.'er so this how my mind works ...Mike

Well..!!

being a lot like :agree: outside of doing it yourself I haven't seen them. I know there is a sleeve used to protect the finish from the cords used in the communication system the would work. Many things come in velvet bags, sleeves etc that could be used...

I'll try that. I have a Daytona 1/2 helmet that I really like, but the thin chin strap is really uncomfortable after a while.

A small piece of sheepskin may be ideal as it will not irritate at all and still be cool in the summer. I'd call a sheepskin seat cover vender and see if they will mail you a scrap, in black, for a nominal fee. Then you could cut that to shape. Sometimes they use scraps to make up samples and might even send one to you for nothing.
