• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone ever instaled battery tender wires to the jump post instead of the battery post to keep from having to take the bike apart .or will this work. Any suggestions on this.

Options....

Do not suggest it on any of those with the never tightening again negative post. The best is direct to the battery but there is an adapter to the cigarette lighter if it is constant power which will also work.

What Spyder are you talking about? For example, if you have a 2014 or later RT all you have to do is open the frunk, unzip the liner and unscrew the two Torx head bolts that hold the battery cover door in place. From there with a 10mm socket you're all set to do the job, max time 15 min total. Be sure of your battery door seal when you're buttoning it up.

Battery wires

The 2013 ST has jumper posts above and the clutch side of the Frunk.
My tender wire and aux fuse block are tied into this post.
have never had a problem with this setup.

Yes, back when I had my 2010 RT, I routinely connected my battery maintainer to the two jump posts under the seat using alligator clips, no problems.

With my current 2014, I used the plug in the trunk.

:agree: Alligator clips only, on those terminals... nojoke
Unless you want to get a thin 10mm wrench, and bend it to fit.

Thanks

Thanks for all the advice. Its a2011 rt. I found a battery tender lighter plug in adapter on Amazon I'm going to get one and try it. It has good reviews. I do like to ride all year round.
