A hello to the community

Just joined and wanted to say hello to the community. Purchased a 2020 RT limited and love the bike. Considering upgrading to an 18" tire and wheel package. Has anyone encountered any performance issues moving on from the stock setup? Also is it necessary to upgrade the rear tire?

Sadly, not too many members stick their heads in here all that often, which is why Spyderbot's post above says:

Once your Username turns Blue, your account registration will be complete & you'll be able to post your question on the Public Pages - I'd suggest either the Spyder General Discussion section, or Spyder RT - Touring, altho maybe RT Shop Talk would also work if you really want to get into the mechanics of the job... :dontknow:

That said, you'll find that the VSS (the Nanny, or the Bosch developed/designed & then modified by BRP Vehicle Stability System suite, which includes all the stuff like ABS, EBD, Traction Control, Yaw Sensor, etc) really doesn't have much tolerance for variations in the rolling diameter of the wheels, especially if you change the fronts & not the rear, &/or vice versa... - and to add insult to that injury, the stud pattern & the rims/offset etc aren't all that easy to match either, altho early Smart Car rims are 'similar'... so unless you're planning on changing the hubs too, & finding brakes to suit, then..... That's probably at least partly why not too many have successfully changed rim/tire sizes all that much. :banghead:
