There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hi, my insurance wants to see the Vin number stamp, any ideas where it will be? 2015 RT

Hi, my insurance wants more than the Vin sticker, they want to see the stamp! The instruction PDF points to an area around the nearside wheel, and the video on youtube points to a steel square inside the offside wheel area, and it's just past that, but mine has no square bit of steel! The PDF is showing a much newer model, but I can't see it, mine is a 2015, any ideas where it will be?
thanks for the help, Jock

I checked both the 2014 and 2024 Operators Guide, and both say that the VIN is stamped on the lower frame on the right side.
There's a diagram of the location in the Operators Guide in the Vehicle Identification section.

The VIN stamped in frame is somewhat difficult to see because it was stamped on the frame and then the frame was painted. The first thumbnail shows where the frame is stamped. The second is the stamped VIN on my 2014 RT-S.

The manual says it is on the left side swing arm. It is probably painted over. It is also on the title and the bill of sale. Show them the bill of sale, or ride it to the office and tell them to look for themselves.

The insurance companies in Florida can get it from the state registration papers over the web.

I would think that showing the owners manual section of the location of VIN on left side swing arm would be sufficient for the insurance to be confident that it is accurate and not something someone just stuck on.

The first of the 'Similar Threads' listed below might be of some help, even without searching for it! ;)

Here it is, just in case your displayed listing is different:

Thanks to all for the great help, I have never had an insurance company ask for this, I now have taken the photo's you have sent me, and I will set about trying to find it, if I can't, I will use a 2nd company, and Thanks again for the help, Jock.

I'm lucky, my 2018 F3-T has 66K on it so just had to take picture of odometer and registration for VIN.
