High Pitched sound when off

I have a new 2013 ST Limited and when it is off and just sitting there, hours after I have turned the engine off, there is a very high-pitched hum that is coming from the engine area. It is not loud but persistent. Anyone else had this?

Not to worry. It is normal. The Throttle body is going to sleep and sometimes it snores a bit.

Well it is very faint. I searched this forum and it said to turn the ignition on (no change in the sound) then off - IT WENT AWAY!!!! What a great site this is

It says somewhere in the manual what the noise is and that it will continue for 30 or 40 minutes after the key is off.

it's normal and a lot of new comers ask this question. Seems to be overlooked as they read the manual as instructed. Techy machines do have some strange habits..!! :roflblack:

I am noting that OP stated the noise is going on for "hours" after the engine has been turned off. That does not sound right to me. :dontknow:

Should only stay on like that for about 45 minutes or so I believe.

I find it mildly annoying while working on the Spyder.
