How can EBC Brake pads be better if I can already invoke the ABS?

Not trying to be a smart arse. I think I may have contaminated the factory pads with wheel cleaner. Then the thought came to me that if I can make the ABS kick in, they must be ok.

That got me to thinking that if the ABS kicks in, then how will EBC pads improve the braking, since I can already make the ABS kick in? Educate me please?

Tell us more of what's happening to you. You say you're having the ABS kick in, all the time? What are you doing when it kicks in?

Keep in mind that the antilock brake system is designed to prevent wheel lock-up when braking, allowing for improved steering control (avoidance).
Is it possible that you contaminated the pads/rotors with a foreign substance? Try spraying brake clean to remove any crud. (Remove the wheels to prevent paint damage).

If you're stopping with authority, then you probably have not damaged your current pads. Not everything you get on them will create a long term issue. Most substances will burn off quickly.

Depending on the pads that you have, EBC can last longer and resist fade better. Just because a pad set will stop you well the 1st time doesn't mean they are the best when multiple uses are required in close succession.

But I'd say that your current pads are fine.

I'm just testing the brakes under various conditions. If I hit the brakes hard enough to activate the ABS then how will EBC pads stop any sooner. The ABS is going to kick in anyway.
Now the initial bite and modulating the brakes may be better with EBC but again I don't know.

In hard braking conditions it pulses the brakes preventing wheel lock-up; allowing continued steering control in a hard-braking situation.
