• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do I buy controls for a Right-Hand Only Spyder?

How do I buy parts for right hand controls? I'm a disabled veteran who has a 2014 Can Am RT Limited looking to make it work with just my Right hand.
Any info appreciated, thank you.

If you are considering riding a Spyder with only one hand on the bars, you need to try riding one first. Not in some low speed, training, controlled environment, but with common, normal road conditions. It is much more difficult to steer a Spyder than a two wheel motorcycle, or even a traditional 3 wheeler, with single front tire. It takes a considerable amount of pressure to move through turns and that will be difficult to apply and try to maintain balance, plus lean with the turns. Not saying it can't be done, but it will not be easy and it will take a lot of work to do it.

The Spyder does have some steering assist, but it is not full time power assist like a car or truck.

Measure the bar size, and look for aftermarket controls. Probably won't find any aftermarket controls or switches specifically for a Spyder, but headlight dimmers, turn signals, and different unlabelled buttons, can be bought from after-market custom suppliers.

Wes, you are not far from Baja Ron. I'd give him a call and see what he has to say. Good luck in your attempt to master a Spyder with one arm. Please keep us posted in your quest. I'm sure there's someone else out there who'd like to ride but has the same problem as you.
