• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much does the extended best warranty cost?

If you haven't bought your ride yet, negotiate a warrantee into the out-the-door price. You may get a better deal. Go for the max years on the warrantee. Remember, most companies won't sell an extended warrantee after the factory warrantee has ended.

I just bought my RTL. My dealer treated me well, but their price for the B.E.S.T warranty was way overpriced. I read a post to check with sierra cycles, so I did. Here is the response I got just the other day.

There are 2 options. We have the BEST warranty from Can-Am that will only allow you to go 3 additional years, or the Century warranty that will add 5 years.
Coverages are the same from both companies.

For the Can-Am B.E.S.T warranty we have the following available

1 year $421

2 year $571

3 year $671

For the Century warranty you can purchase 5 years for $968.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you

PS. I looked into the century warranty and reviews were not that good.

Two up front differences are copay and price. However the more important differences are in the background, one would be the exclusions section of the policy. Be sure and compare the exclusion sections of the policies because they are not all the same, and B.E.S.T. is just a name. It doesn't mean it's the best. A lot of folks have bought it and it is certainly not the worst of the bunch, but like Huked said you can only purchase it for 3 additional years. Consider a 5 year policy, it just may payoff in the longer run. However. like anything else with BRP, it's a crapshoot.

Extended warranties are a waste of money. Defective parts will far more than likely fail during normal warranty period. Few failures after that.

I would say that is mostly true on a new vehicle. However, the Ryker is a brand new model with no history of repairs so given that little tid bit I would say it is a good investment for the additional 3 years and peace of mind is priceless. I think the motor and CVT is solid but the rest of the vehicle is pretty much unproven.

You will not be thinking the coverages are the same once you try to use it for any thing major. I can tell you BEST works. Really works.

Yea, tell my 31k mile oil pump drive bearings that. $12k repair approved in 48 hrs. Back on the road in 3 wks total with a brand new drivetrain. BEST.

I'm buying a 3yr best warranty before my standard year warranty is up. My best warranty on my spyder paid for itself. Only had a couple of small issues out of the normal warranty but even simple repairs are expensive. You can spend $671 on a repair with the snap of your fingers.

This thread dates back to 2019.

Currently, I am recommending iMotorsports. As for T. Palmer. 3 years for less than $700.

When I get home tonight I will pull the paperwork. Ours is a BRP extended warranty that we got through our local BRP dealer (Island Powersports in NY) where we bought my wife's Ryker. It is a good warranty. It covers everything but brake pads, tires and fluid changes for 5 more years and covers things the factory warranty does not (CanAm branded accessories).
