• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...So I don't know how the "BREXIT" vote is going to affect things. nojoke
I wish all of our friends in England the best of luck, with this bold new step.
(And I'd LOVE to hear their feelings about all of this!)
From what I heard this morning: voter turnout was a record for this all-important issue, so I guess that the,
"Will of the People", has truly been heard.

It's going to be interesting. I know our " leader" isn't to happy about it.

I did hear something on the news that global markets are plummeting.

:agree: Uncertainty always gives the Markets an upset stomach! nojoke
I may pull out of it for the short term, and put all of my "eggs" into Old Beatles Albums... :roflblack:

The market will probably drop by 500 points today and then slowly come back in the following days.

Cruzr Joe

You might be right, but capital has to go somewhere and with it fleeing other world markets I see it coming here.

That and 5 bucks will get you a Starbucks Latte.

I really think this is a long term good thing for Britain and us. The EU is doomed to failure with their stupid monetary system. They have let too many freeloader countries in and they are draining the rest dry. When the EU dies a horrible death the more countries who have separated themselves the better off the world economy will be.

The other major issue is the crazy migration policies and economic regulations that are imposed on members. The EU is a life sucking drain covered up by the lies of globalism.

If any of you from the US are planning to visit Canada this summer. Today may be a good day to buy Canadian cash.

I was going to buy some US cash. I guess I should have done that yesterday.

How so? Markets around the world are dropping - how will this effect the exchange rate between US $ and Canadian $ ?

The cost of CAD to USD is down 1.5% this morning from yesterday's closing price. I think this is just temporary reaction and should come back to normal in a week or 2.

USD is a safe haven currency and will go up every time there is uncertainty. Gold is also up today. Same reason, uncertainty. Other commodities, oil, copper, grains etc. are down because they are priced in USD.

Well....

Do wish them all the best and hope the whole fiasco transends smoothly without major set backs. I look at it like gated communities with associations....:yikes: never going to have a happy ending for all....:dontknow:

It's down over 550 points right now... nojoke

The Wall Street Casino changes quickly--doesn't it? First thing I did was check the 401K. It was up $1000. Don't think I am going back now. Don't need the upset stomach.

The day trader gamblers have control of the market, and the game is played on the basis of any news that hits. They make money both ways by betting on the market. Those of us who have a retirement fund are subject to the whims of the gamblers. I am just waiting for the day when I check my account and they say Dwayne Who? :yikes:

Ignorance is bliss... nojoke
That's why I'm always so happy! :roflblack:
