• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Insured

So if the Spyder isn't call a cycle, what do insurance company's call it when purchasing insurance coverage??

motorcycle insurance in NY

My insurance (21st century/AIG) when I started in Dec last year started at 457, 6 months later it dropped to 440. Now the december renewal they want almost 800!:yikes: Must be they are rapeing people to get out of thier financial problems:cus::cus::cus::cus:

My agent shopped around and found it for 400! even lower than last time:2thumbs:

Almost every insurance company should have it listed under motorcycles, and they will ask you if it is a trike. I still have trouble answering that question.

Insurance prices are really interesting as well. Allstate wanted $940 for my 1st Spyder, and State Farm wanted $760. I went with State Farm, but then they cancelled my policy because I did not have an automobile insured with them. They sent me a refund and gave me 1 month to find new insurance. I ended up going with Progressive, and have both of the Spyders insured for $1200 per year.

Foremost for $482 here in CT.
Remember your credit score, driving history, and age have a lot to do with the amount?

When you get insurance, make SURE they list it as a sport touring bike, NOT a sport bike--- unless you enjoy paying crotch rocket prices for insurance.

A lot of companies did not even have the Spyder listed so they would not insure it. The best quote I could find was $1200 per year. C0-operators found that agent for me. I am a new licensed motorcycle driver this year as well.

Marc saved me 750. per year. I was paying 1200.00 with progressive and now 450. with marc same coverage.

:dontknow:I pay $1200 a year with state farm. I had motorcycle insurance with them since 1977 and no claims. What a rip off when you see how much the :spyder2: owners in the USA pay.
