• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it possible to fit a remote (hidden) Steering lock release? How/where does it operate? Any ideas?

On my 21 S2S I have fitted remote ( hidden ) cables so that I can open the frunk or release the seat/fuel cap in an emergency. I was wondering if it were possible to do the same thing to the steering lock. Is the lock operated by a cable from the ignition switch as are the other two functions or by another method? Where is the lock mechanism located on the steering assembly? I have looked at parts fiches but cannot find the locking system on them. Could someone point me in the right direction please.

Look at pg 19 of your Operator's Guide and it is obvious from the text description that as Bfromla says it is some kind of deadbolt system within the ignition switch. You can prove this to yourself by turning the bars left or right but not all the way in either direction and you will see that the key will not turn a full quarter turn.
