• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a backup brake on a 2011 Spyder if the Pedal brake fails?

Apart from engine braking until you get your speed down to about 6-10 kph, when you can use the Park Brake on the SE's, then NO, there's no alternative to the foot pedal activated brakes.

But the brakes are a dual circuit system, the rear reservoir on the master cylinder serves the front brakes, while the front reservoir serves the rear brake, so it should be an extremely rare event that sees you entirely without brakes. :sneaky:

A problem with the hydraulic brake system will likely give warning before complete failure.
Pay attention and check things out if you notice a spongy pedal, or if anything just doesn't feel right.
Just remember to check your brake linkage regularly, especially the fasteners and pins that secure the link at the pedal and master cylinder.
If that fails, better be looking for an escape ramp. :ROFLMAO::eek:
