• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Darrell emailed me - and many others. Apparently they are within a week for pricing and plan to - possibly - offer the floorbards with: 1) the new-and-improved spider (seen in anohter thread), 2) a more plain black stripes down the middle version, and 3) an extra cost custom logo feature instead of the spider (honoring copyrights, etc).

I still have not seen what is in the works for a SM5 shifter extension.

And I still cannot tell if the original brake pedal arm is hacked or replaced.

I also asked it we could get a fresh set of full pics even before the pricing.

Pete

PS
Is the fourth pic part of the hydraulic hand brake setup?

Oh boy,:sour:
It looks like you have to saw off the horizontal part of the original brake peddle to install the extension.:yikes: I am NOT going to do that. So this mod may be history as far as I am concerned.

It looks like they replace the whole pedal assembly, I'm wondering if I'll have to go to their pedal arm to get the brake setup.

I've seen how the SM5 shifter arm connects to the splined shifter shaft on the other side....

Anyone got a pic of how the brake pedal arm connects (bolts?) to the rest of the brake parts under the covers?

Lamonster must have some.

Thanks,

Pete

I'm more interested in seeing the driver's pegs lowering brackets. Supposed to move thm down and forward 1 1/2"or so. :ohyea:

this was answers i got from them

We could install a heavier spring on the pedal for you so that your
foot could stay on the pedal. Also, in regards to your modification question
you would need to cut off the mounting channel that the existing brake pedal
bolts to. This can be done with a normal tool like a hacksaw, etc. Then a
quarter inch hole would need to be drilled.

for these questions

will the spring tension on brake pedal be adjustable?
i would like enough tension on it to be able ride with foot on the
pedal in city driving condition
also, how much of modification will be involved in installing your
brake pedal?

Gosh,
From the looks of it there aught to be a workaround so that one would not have to saw off his brake peddle. :wrong:
I just want to have it be able to return to stock if desired.
Mike

Okay, I have it. Make a L bracket. Bolt it to the bolt holes originally used to hold the brake pad on. Then bolt the assembly to that. It would need to be close to the brake arm under the mounting channel. I don’t think having the mounting channel there would be in the way too much. Then the original brake could be restored if so desired.
