• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Laam Seats

The Laam website shows $349 for front seat only, but was told the Spyder F3 front is $399 due to the larger area. I ride solo, so to cover the passenger seat with matching vinyl is another $50. Plus applicable shipping $$.

I call him and he always answers. That said, I'd call him early in the AM. With you being EST, I'd say try around 10A your time = 7A PST. My production sate is Mar 02 :)

Sent my wife’s seat to Seth 2 days ago. Production date is 2/25. (earlier if he has time) Hopefully, this mod will increase the length of our rides, or, at least, make our shorter rides more pleasant for her. Doing black with red stitching which should look nice on her pearl white F3.

Hey folks, Seth Laam is as mentioned before, an artist. My wife and I live about 2 1/2 hours from Seth. We made an appointment to have Seth adjust some aspects of my wife’s seat. I bought her a new F4 Customs windshield for her 2019 F3 LTD after we had already had Seth build a seat for her. This was the smallest windshield for the F3 LTD and it hit my wife like a pair of bifocal glasses. One second she was looking over the shield and the next she was looking through it. Seth took the info my wife was able to impart to him and he took the seat to the next level for her. He was able to do this in an amount of time for him to address one issue I was having. As long as I was riding under 2 hours at a time I was fine. Long distance rides I found would give me some discomfort. Explained this to Seth and he made a suggestion as to what to do. Told him to go for it and the ride home was amazing. If you are looking for a custom seat, Laam Custom Seats is the way to go. www.laamseats.com will get you his site. I highly recommend a Laam Custom Seat, I sold a Russell Day Long after buying a seat from Seth. A true craftsman.

My seat arrived to Seth yesterday. Production is set for Monday, Mar 02. Should be hearing from him later this week to nail down the details :)

I think Seth Laam might be running behind schedule. I was supposed to hear from him late last week for final build details, as my production date starts today. No word as of yet. Of course it's in the 40/50*s this week/weekend. Appears like a good time to take off the back wheel and install a new tire while the seat is gone...

Any word on your seat build ?

Any word on your seat build ?

I’ve had a couple of long discussions with Seth to make sure the seat is modified to our goals. Last night he told me the seat would be shipped out by the end of today. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guy over the phone.

Seth called me this morning to finalize build plan. He called me this afternoon to say the seat was done and sent me photos. Carbon look black vinyl, leather look vinyl sides with black stitching. He moved the seat area back an extra .5" and left the seat height near stock, if not, just a touch lower. Looks awesome !! Should arrive next Wed/Thu :)

Why not call him and ask directly. He would be the one to work on it. Tom :spyder:

I believe he actually strips the seat down directly to the pan. But, yup, give him a call..

Talked to Seth last night. Very nice and informative guy. He said he keeps some original foam. Mostly the very bottom that is shaped to the pan. Looking forward to meeting you Troop.

I as well. My seat is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Did you get a time frame from Seth ? Winter layover is winding down :)

He is out about 1 month. I will need to borrow a stock seat since riding season is about here. Wonder if someone in the Soar group has one.
