Has anyone tried to use LED brake light bulbs with an 1157 base as a direct replacement of standard 1157 bulb?
Can't do it without the correct loads... resistors... needed to make the nanny think they're the same wattage. NMN has them... engineered for the Spyder's cantankerous processors. Those are monitored circuits.

I have and they are working perfectly. Cost of new leds signal...$28. No resistors load trickers required.
Will post picts if required.
I know hard to believe, anyone near or close to me can come by. Of course some trickery required to do it.hyea:

BALDEV, please tell us the source, brand, model, etc of the LED replacement bulbs you used. NMN says it can't be done, you say otherwise, so we need a few more owners to try and report back here.
Thank you.
So these are signals or brake lights? This is why Lamonster.
Now you are talking. This is what I did. I am still using the original that is hidden in the bottom of the seat. Got that.........
Than I connected Leds signals that I bought from local biker shop ( beautiful Heart shape ) connect them directly to the main signals which are now hidden and presto I have leds that cost me $28 ( u can use whatever fancies you )
I have been using them for last 3 months with no problems, bright, beautiful and lovely. Will post picts soon.opcorn:

.
We were talking brake/tail lights.ray:
And, I agree that you can probably piggy-back LEDs (not much current draw there) onto any of the circuits as long as you're still using the original bulbs...
.
i got couple of led lights hooked up to my brake light also but i never thought about hiding the stock bulbs. interesting...
It serves its purpose and if you wanna go back to stock cost is minimal to none.
