• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED Turn Signal Lights Hyper Blinking

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon replacing the original yellow turn signal bulb with LED "bulbs" from http://superbrightleds.com. I got the expected hyperflash. A very bright hyperflash. Based on info from a post on how to stop it, ignition on, hold flasher down 30 - 45 seconds, then turn the turn signal lamp on until first flash then ignition off. Repeat for the other side. I did this 5 times. No joy. Replaced the original lamps and buttoned the beast back up and moved on. So my questions then are, just how do you put an LED in place of the factory bulb? Is the Spyder's computer so damned sensitive that the slight resistance difference in the bulb vice LED sets it off? Does anyone sell a plug and play yellow LED turn signal replacement unit? What modification must be made to the wiring to bring about the normal blinking rate? Where is there a shop that can replace the bulbs and other lighting bits? I AM a bit frustrated. I could have been ryding.

Missed this it's a 2014 RT

TricLED recommended doing the hyper flash fix with the engine running, because the fix is voltage sensitive and may not work on battery voltage. Worked for me. In addition, they only hold the emergency flasher button and skip the single turn signal flash. That also worked for me on my 2014 RTL.

Hyperflash

I put LED bulbs in my backup lights on my 2015 RTL and have some SERIOUS hyperflash! I can't figure out how to stop it, so I think of it as a backup warning signal.

:agree: For 2014, (and I think 2015... :dontknow:): this procedure worked.
In fact I just used it on my 2014 RT-L, and it worked the very first time I tried it!

Did you watch Lamont's video? If not: look it up, and follow his method EXACTLY as he does it!
Good luck!

I did not have this video to watch. So, it does work. I am apparently not quite as astute as I thought. I mean, just last week I built an atomic bomb in the kitchen with parts from Lowes but then THIS procedure was beyond me. Thanks for the video.
