• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leery of dealer

I agree that a good dealer is worth the drive. My current spuder was purchase 135 miles (one way) from my house and there is one other dealer that I use which is 102 miles (one way) from my house. There is also a dealer that I purchased my first Spyder from who is 1 1/2 mile from my house that I will not go back to.
The 102 mile dealer does laser alighments so I had them do it as well as my first 3000 mile service. When my rear brake issue developed I had the Spyder delivered to them on a flat bed truck using AAA which has a 100 mile free towing.

Do yourself right and choose a good dealer even if you have to drive aways.

Check with Central Florida Power Sports in Kissimmee and see what they say about alignment and insurance. They are one of the best dealers in Florida and I trust them completely.

Can't tell you about FL dealers. However, the one you have been dealing with is off the wall. Service is very important. Look into another dealer. Several on here have given names of good dealers in FL.

Try Nationwide Insurance. I was surprised with the quote I got from Progressive. They tend to low ball first year and raise the second anyway. Nationwide was the best I got in CT and a local Agent.

Good luck.

I have been looking at pulling the trigger on a new 2014 RT LTD but am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from the dealer. Price is OK but they are feeding me some bogus BS, such as lazer alignment is not necessary as they have a better way of doing alignments. I also have been getting some very high insurance quotes (up to $1800). When I queried the sales rep about insurance he said very few people bother to get insurance on their Spyders. I found that statement to be ludicrous. I live on the west coast of Florida in the Sarasota Bradenton area and have been unable to find any other local Spyder riders that I could contact to get their opinion on the dealership. The next closest dealer is about 70 miles away. Any ideas?
Hi, who is the dealer you spoke to in Florida? I bought from Tampa Bay power sports and have been satisfied with the service. I have insurance with progressive under $400 yr.
