• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leftover Part

Put floorboards on my 2015 F3 (manual) today. Easy installation, but found this on the floor when I was done. Wasn't there when I started, I think.

Does anyone have any idea what it is? The top is marked lock/unlock. Looks vaguely familiar.

Also the BRP floorboard kit came with a shorter shift pedal. Why? Can I use the stock longer pedal?

I can't help with your extra part, but I can help with the shifter. The shorter shifter allows shifter peg to end up on the top of your foot. You can use the longer shifter, but the shift peg will end up at your toes. You'll need to stretch out your leg to have the peg at the top of your foot.
I didn't like the short shifter because you lose leverage. The shifts are harder- less fine and smooth. It was also harder to get neutral.

I modified mine so I could use a shift lever with the longer leverage, but peg ends up on the top of my foot. It wasn't easy, but it turned out great and it shifts like it did with the stock pegs and longer shifter.
