• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leg heat

Did a local parade yesterday with Legion Riders. After the parade we were talking and two guys complained about hot legs, both ride HD's one is a new trike, the other a top of the line 2012, sorry, I don't know one Harley from another, funny thing, I was not uncomfortable... Love my Spyder...

Parades

I've done several parades on more than one motorcycle. Aircooled v-twins are the worst as the rear jug radiates an incredible amount of heat to the inner thighs & eventually the family jewels as well. Watercooled motors aren't quite as bad but do blow lots of hot air back on the ridier when the cooling fan is running (most of the time in a parade). The Triumph Rocket III Touring I had generated considerable heat just from being so big (2297cc) and had the same hot air blowing back as other watercooled bikes. The Yamaha Royal Star Venture V4 engine wasn't bad at all heat wise but the top heaviness of that bike made slow riding a real pain. The Honda Nighthawk 750 was maybe the best being it was an aircooled inline four and the cylinders were far enough away from my legs etc. That bike was light & nimble too just not something you'd ride for long distances. My 2007 Yamaha Roadliner S was very easy handling and could do distances well but also suffered aircooled v-twin heat problems in parades. This Victory Cross Country I now ride likewise is an aircooled v-twin, not as nasty as some but still hot in a parade.

It's going to be interesting to see what "Project Rushmore" yields for Harley-Davidson.
They put the radiators at the bottom of the fairing lowers; right in front of the operator's feet!! :yikes:
Sounds a bit familitar; doesn't it?? :D :roflblack:

Don't know..!!

of any bike that does well in a slow moving parade. Now if it is cold out they do better but still heat up. I think even the first motorcyle rider just wanted to go fast...:roflblack:
