• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LIGHT WEIGHT ON/OFF BOOTS??/!!!!!

Anything that opens up with zippers or velcro on the side would be my guess.

Try motorcycle superstore--they have a gazillion brands, tall, short, lace, zipper, velcro etc.

Do a search online for original swat boots. They are light, comfortable and have side zippers.
My wife and I each have a pair and are extremely pleased with these boots.

BATES

Does anyone know of a pair? Mens, easy on off, im a para. thanks, Canchess:shocked:

Go on line and check out Bates shoes. These are the boots most police and firemen wear. Ultra light weight, removeable insoles, non-slip soles, long side zipper, and prices are pretty reasonable.

AXO Strikers... Don't make them anymore, but they have a new design... They are shorter than I like, but use the BOA stainless cable system and rachet mechanism... I now have 18k on my pair and they are finally showing some decent wear. Very comfy to walk in as well.

These are what replaced my boots... ankles look a little taller.

Not water proof, but I spray them with repellant and my feet stay mostly dry unless it is really pouring out or my rain gear fails.

I can tell you from experience that the regular boots are a real pain in the ass, As I am sure you know. when i was on the salt flats racing last year A guy had a set of boot that had two zippers in the front and they zipped almost all the way to the toes, they had velcro that went over you foot underneath it.

Both Larry from IA and bruce from OH, best spyderlovers pit crew there is , can tell you that putting on a one piece leather racing suit and racing boots (both required on the flats) are real bear. I cut the sides of first racing boots I had but if you can't feel your feet its really annoying.

If you find a set please share.

I too hate laced boots, prefer the velcro/zipper kind. For those, try either TCX or Sidi. TCX makes great boots (still loving my pair of X-Fives), and I'm keen on the Sidi Traffic boots as well (the latter lighter than the TCX boots, and they make a perforated leather "air" version).

If you find a set please share.
:agree: Diabetic Neuropathy kicked the :cus: out of my ability to feel my feet too. It's nowhere near as bad as what you have to deal with, but I'm also looking for something that opens up a bit more than normal.

Took a Chance on these

Hey guys I wear Blundstones http://www.blundstone.com, the pull on type of boot. These are by far the most comfy boot I have ever owned, you will have to spray them to keep them water proof but you will like the ease of getting these on and off. 6 back operations over 10 years you need good boots and these are the best, made Down Under they are excellent quality.

"6 back operations over 10 years"

That means you're an official member of the "Titanium Zipper Club".

PI also ride these boots and they are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Put them on and refused to take them off till bed time. Road all winter in New England and across the desert ( RT 66) in September, walked in ankle deep puddles and torrential rain. I have another brand new pair for when these ware out but 2 years and no sign of that happening.
