• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lights, Camera...

Well; just lights and camera! :opps:
The Missus and I tackled the chore of installing TricLEDs 3rd and 4th brakelights yesterday...
I say "tackled the chore", because once you've tried to dig out the wiring harness once; you know what I mean! :yikes:
We've done it twice now! :gaah: I may just keep this bike forever; I don't want to do it again...
On the positive side; it only took us 45 minutes to get control of the plug, and make the proper connections... Last time, we fought with it for over TWICE as long! (Yes; she taught ME some new cuss-words that day!)
This isn't Reggy's fault; BRP could stand to add about five inches of wiring to that harness...
Anyway; now we'll feel safer in traffic...

Yes; they do. :2thumbs: It's about the slickest design I've seen. Reggy's instructions are very good too! It's just getting control over that plug the BRP hides back in the bodywork...
You have an extension to that harness, that needs to be plugged into it. It gives you all of the necessary connections for the additional brakelights.

SpyderPops was planning to have these from TricLED at the OE but they got shipped to Ark. instead of Colo. If they had arrived as planned I would have gotten a set installed. Now I'm re-thinking them and considering the one that goes at the top of the rear trunk. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of money or I'd buy everything on impulse.

Nicely done..!!

congrats to you both..!! :2thumbs: but where did you put the camera...?? :roflblack: it does make you noticeable...

Well... :D
I'm certainly up for toasting a successful effort!
But I'm probably safest, when I'm kept away from tools...

If you do it again give us a call. You need to lower the black plastic and remove the left rear tail light. The tail light plug is accessible and takes minutes to do.
Also we tell everyone that we sell them to, to put a quick disconnect in the wiring going to the 4th light (bottom one).
This is a very easy installation with just a couple of installation tips thrown in.

Hi Rick!
We looked at that option...
It almost came down to a coin-toss.
Removing that rear panel looked to be as much of a battle, as the one we KNEW we were facing... :yikes:
