• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Limp mode

Well I am now a member of the limp mode club, lol.
My 2012 RTS went into limp mode Sun night coming home from church with a TPS warning and pictures of my handlebars coming up on the screen.
Guess I will be taking it to the dealers and let them have a look at it.
That is one club I really did not want to be a part of

Has it reared it's ugly head again? I'm asking because there have been times, me included, where I shut off my spyder, waited about a minute and restarted. The limp mode was gone and it never appeared again.

sad that it happened to you but once repaired your back up and going full throttle. this also brings up something i haven't seen in awhile is "limp mode" i'm guessing since the owners event in june brp must have found the true fix to the throttle body problem sure seems like theres alot less talk about limp mode.could it be brp is going forward in the right direction?.i've had my throttle body go out once knock on wood and ever since the owners event when they gave me that updated software i haven't had a problem.

Limp modes happen sometimes, and a re-boot of the :spyder2: seems to clear it up.

Twice in a row or more would be an indicator that something is wrong with the :ani29: and my recommendation is to have it checked out by the dealer.

RE: fewer limp mode posts: It does seem that there have been less of late, but then again, others will say that it is because of the weather and fewer people are driving their :spyder2:,s.
I guess we wait until summer when everyone is driving before that issue gets resolved.

Hope you get your issues solved.

It is running fine now but will probably still take it to dealer and have them check it while they do the 6000 mile svc.
