There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Looking for a phone mount

gkamer

Sadly passed away, December '23.
I’m looking for a good phone mount for a 2018 Can Am Spyder RT Limited. I have a Quad Lock mount on my Ryker, but the mount would not work on the Spyder due to the design of the handle bars. I’m not willing to look at the RAM X-Frame sort of mount since I lost 2 phones using one. Any suggestions from 2018 Spyder owners?

I wasn’t able to find one for my iPhone 12. I need a anti vibration phone mount due to the camera failing on the 12’s. Check out the sponsors here on the site if you haven’t already done so. Best wishes and as always, be safe!

Here’s my setup on a 17 RTL. Phone is mounted horizontally on a tachform mount using a Spyder cuff to attach to the handlebars. Doesn’t budge.

The clamp type holder works great and if you wish I also have them that will go on to the Ram ball and Tackform mount
As for your phone I have the tackForm mounts that are bar none the best, strongest grip, safest, mount on the market
made of machined aluminun not plastic. TackForm Logo.jpeg

Tackform! Very solid and good grip. Blows the old x style away. I’d never go back to that old system!

As for bar mount get the lamonster spyder cuff. Tackform mounts perfect to it

I can attest to the tackform from Dave, I hit a curb hard enough to throw me over the handlebars and into the curb. My phone was still sitting in the tackform unmoved and undamaged. I called AAA from the bluetooth (sena 50r also from dave) on my helmet to come tow my spyder.

Here’s a picture of tack and lamonster cuff

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Looks like I'll be leaning towards the tacform.

Contact MotorcycleDave.com. I spoke with him and found an excellent all metal and very secure but simple phone mount that attaches through one of the four bolts that holds the handlebars on. I chose the short mount rather than the long mount and it keeps the phone in what I think is an ideal position to be easily read and yet not block the Spyder screen at all. I'm very happy with it. I believe I paid $60 just a few weeks back.
