• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Memorial Day Parade with Spyder

Me and my daughter were on a spyder ride yesterday and I stopped in at my dealer in Essex Vermont to just chat and they were getting a yellow demo spyder ready for the Memorial Day Parade celebration which was going to kick off in about an hour. We were talked into joining in for the ride in the parade. My daughter thought that was cool. At the staging area I met a few nice people that liked the spyder.
It was fun, especially seeing the kids along the route being facinated by the spyder's. some kids about ages six or so yelled for me to rev the throttle, so I did. Gota love that hindle sound! Going through that parade though, my clutch hand was getting a little sore from all the stop and go. After this event me and my daughter just headed out for a day road trip. My daughter wanted to stop at this place to do some shopping, so I stopped in. We needed a break anyhow. I met this cute friendly girl that pulled in just ahead of us on a scooter. She was facinated by the spyder. It was the first one she has ever seen. Man! if nothing else the spyder does get me to meet people. It was a great day for sure!

Cool!!! :2thumbs:

How was the temp on the Spyder going thru the parade at slow speed? 5 bars?

It was at least 5 bars. The temp outside wasn't too bad though. It was hot out, but there was a small breeze and it kept things cool. I was more concerned with running out of gas. I wasn't fueled up when I left the dealer and wasn't planning on being in a parade. The gas gauge was down to one bar at the end of the parade and the gas light came on, but I had plenty of fuel left to get to the gas pumps before I headed out on my day trip.

Ok! I don't want to jump the gun here, but this story about the events of this day in the parade and the rest of my day could have more to it. Remember when I mentioned the cute girl on the scooter? Well, yesterday when we met she told me where she lives. It turns out she lives out in the country about 10 miles or so from my house near some of my friends that I work with who live just up the road from her house. So! I took a ride out there today with the spyder to pay a visit with my friends and to see if I could locate this girls house and I did. I saw the scooter parked in the garage. I pulled in at my friends place and talked for a while and had a cold beer. I then left and headed up the road. This time this girl happened to be outside, so I pulled in her driveway and we reacquainted ourselves. We had a friendly chat and learned more about each other. It turns out, like myself, she has been divorced for a few years. She is also a single mom raising her 10 year old daughter. She kept telling me that the spyder looks like it would be fun to ride. So I offered her to go on a spyder ride with me sometimes at her convience if she would like and she was more than happy to take me up on that offer. Anyhow, we exchanged our phone numbers and then said our good bye's. We will be in touch sometimes soon. Could my spyder have brought me fate? Who know's! For now I do believe I have made a new found friend. More to come! ;)
