• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Middle Side Panel Installation

Can anyone direct me to a video or step by step on installation of the middle side panels installation. I've got both sides off and the right side is breaking my chops and before I break some pins or tabs I thought I'd reach out :banghead::banghead:

Yes there is a few tabs and pins to line up. I get the panel roughly in place - start at the saddle bag and then make sure the tabs are in the wright position going over that black plastic piece over the foot peg support and then push the pins into the rubber grommets all the while lining up the tab that goes in beside the lower black plastic air wing. Then I install all the bolts .

Hope this helps .

The procedure is in your owners manual. There are several variations of this cover, and each takes a bit different technique.

I put the lower front pin in first, then rotate the panel slightly towards the front to ensure that the the "hook" is in position before snapping in the top forward pin. I then snap the rear pins into their respective gromets. I would also highly recommend that you place a strip of industrial grade velcro at the top and bottom of the panel as a precaution. That way, should your hook not snap perfectly into place the panel will still be safely secured and not come off in the wind. Once I installed a set of air wings the velcro was no longer necessary.

Finally, if you have not already done so, you may want to add a bit of RV black in the channels of your grommets and re-install them in their holes. They had a tendency to pop out when I first bought the Spyder and I haven't lost a single grommet since applying the RV black. I have a 2010, and I hear the newer models are not as prone to the grommet pop out syndrome.
