According to the law you can go with out a helmet IF you are NOT on a freeway. Law reads "any person who is 21 y.o. or older may operate or ride as a passenger on any motorcycle or motortricycle without protective headgear upon any highway of this state, EXCEPT FOR AN INTESTATE HIGHWAY". Law would impose up to a $25 fine on those who choose to violate the new law. Thought I would put this in and educate some of the folks coming to Mo for the Spyderfest in Cuba. Hope it helps. Yes guys you are both correct, the Governor promised in his election campaign to sign the bill, but when he was elected and it come to his desk for signature he would not sign it. No sweat to me because I always wear one.

NOTE. it says "21 or older can operate or ride" without head gear. it's bill SB 202 and is still waiting for the Gov to sign. New law makes that 21 yo exception. This bill is OLD NEWS --- it was NOT signed into law by the governor - and won't be -- this was TWO years ago......

Don't want people getting confused and getting a ticket..... wish this thread was never posted with this incorrect information.

:agree:Firefly is correct on this issue, see my earlier comment above. If you are coming to Missouri and are riding a motorcycle of any type you must wear a DOT approved helmet all the time!!!!
