• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

need advice re:prescription glasses

Look at Safety Glasses USA....bought 2 pair of "Cheaters" (bifocals), one smoke color and one clear, for less than $25.00 including shipping.
Most safety glasses do not meet state requirements for "eye protection". Those requirements necessitate that the glasses be sealed to the face, like goggles. Simple side shields are not enough. Check your state requirements before doing riding with glasses, to see they meet the standards. Some states are super strict on this.

Went to the glass place in Wal-Mart last summer with my perscription from the VA. Had them make me a pair of safety glasses. Cost $60.00.

..........make sure to try 'em with the helmet on. I've got prescription Foster Grant's tear drops, and the bows are big enough to be uncomfortable inside my full face HJC. I got another set of prescription glasses, by Guess, with Transitions lens. The bows are extremely thin, and they are comfortable to wear inside the lid. <M>

I've got 3 pair at the moment, and they all tend to get uncomfortable after a while.
I also find myself using my older single vision lenses more while riding. The no-line bifocals have me moving my head around too much, when I could just glance down toward the mirrors, or gauges.

I'm thinking of going back to single vision contacts for riding...
