• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need Guidance on Replacing the very bottom front Plastic Piece on a '22 F3 - anyone done this and what is involved?

Need guidance on replacing the very bottom, front plastic piece on a 22 F3 Ltd. While traveling through SE Kansas recently, I found myself in a position where an approximately 4-5” rock was in the center of my lane. I couldn’t avoid it, but did slow prior to impact. I stopped at a Can Am dealer on the way home, where they graciously put it up and checked the underside. The only damage was to the piece mentioned above. I do not have a lift, so replacement will be done with the Spyder on ramps, wheels chocked, and the Parking Brake on. The new part is on order. I have not looked under the Spyder yet. In anticipation of changing this part, has anyone done this and what is involved?
In the picture, you’ll see the fractured piece I’m referring to being black, at the lowest center position. Thanks in advance for any guidance in replacing this part.

Here you go:

Reasonably cheap and just a hand full of screws, check your rads and clean when you have the grill off. Check the plastic further back under the engine just in case you damaged it as well. ;)

Outstanding! Thank you for noting the existence of the referenced post and for bringing it to my attention. Nearby dealership has had my Spyder up and inspected the underside for additional damage. They found none. The part pictured part and wire grill were ordered and I was notified they were received late this past week. Thanks again!

* A good protection piece to add under the front bottom area is Spyder Pop's The Original Bump Skid.

*
I installed one several years ago on my F3L and it has saved front end damage several times with such a low ground clearance.

* Photos: the Spyder is up on stands ready for the Bump Skid installation and installed.
