• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what size did you go with? Any other changes need to be made to accommodate them? what's the main difference?

I would think that wider front tires would give more resistance and effect your gas mileage a little.

More grip on the road--better handling would also seem a possibility.

Give us an update after a month or so.
 
I want them!! It makes all the sense in the world..the tires are wider, the walls are stronger, and no need to modify the fenders... Great mod! Plug & play:2thumbs:
 
The only negative thing I found on my RT is that it throws up water on the edge of the fenders in the rain or on wet roads. Your feet get wet more especially with highway pegs.
 
Why would anyone ride in the rain, if there was any choice at all??? :dontknow: If I'm not on a tour, and the weather's iffy, the bike stays under cover…. I've never even used water to wash a bike - only cleaner/polish…..

We had Falkens on our RS, day and nite difference, Have them on our RTS, Wonderful, less roll in curves,Run air shocks in middle for 2 up, and we ride mostly in TN. Mountain curves. Much greater difference at interstate speeds, much more stable.:yes:
 
I have also went with the same size tire in the front and run them at 30 psi. They do help every bit as much as stated above. As far as gas mileage I can`t say for sure but I think it will be better. Because of the increased sidewall strength and running them at 30 psi the rolling resistance is much less than the mushy OEM tires. I push it around in the garage when I need to move it sometimes and it is a ton easier to push!!!! It handles like a sports car now with the car tires and Elkas.
