Newest Apple Ipod (newer then Gen5)

Hi I am in the a bind and not sure which to purchase to use with my 2016 F3 LTD. The manual says it is compatible with Ipod 5 5th generation. I would prefer to purchase the latest with iOS 11 but not sure if the Spyder will support it. If it doesn't then I will purchase the 5th gen if that works best.

I am using a IPOD Nano 6+ gen on my RT 2014.

My iPhone 6 (iOS11) will play music through our 2016 F3 limited. I think it would work.

I have nano gen 6 and gen 7 both work on my 15 RTS.
