• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice People in Tennessee

My wife and I went on a tour to Tennessee and we are glad we did. At Baja Ron's in Greeneville, Daniel made time to give Stella D. Motorcycle her yearly checkup on only one day's warning. Charged a reasonable price, too. We bought Cardo X2 intercom at J&P Cycles in Pigeon Forge, and Nicole installed them free while letting me watch so I'll know how next time. Then we toured the Foothills Parkway without yelling.

This is in stark contrast to the regular practice in the Miami area. Here, the so-called mechanics charge top dollar for every minute and break your cycle to boot.

I think there are fine people all over this country; one just needs to get out of the big city rat races to find them. Like Greenville, TN, or Nixa, MO, or Roundup, MT. In the big cities, one does have to look harder.

I agree. And without getting political, there are those who try to portray us as clannish and disliking those who don’t fit into our mold.

When I proposed moving from San Diego to East Tennessee my West Coast friends said that I would not be accepted here, etc. But I've found the opposite to be true. I find a great deal of respect for the individual most everywhere I go, regardless of the different characteristics that we are continually told cause friction. I find that most people go out of their way to appreciate each other across this great land.

It is tougher in big cities where people are jammed together. But I think the negative picture some want to paint for us is actually created by a small, very loud, and vocal minority of Americans. This country is a much better place than they want to give us credit for. And I, for one, am proud to be a very small part if it.

To validate Ron's comments, all you have to do is read the what the world is saying about their experiences in the US during the World Cup matches being played here, mostly in large cities. Although I am a big city boy (raised in New Orleans), I have found there are good people everywhere, sometimes you just have to look a little harder. I think the stereotypes being painted are just that, stereotypes.

When I moved from S. California to Indiana, I met someone who was shocked that I was leaving California! She told me, without any prompting, that she'd always wanted to move to California.

So I asked her where she'd visited in California,, and she said she'd never been to California, but just wanted to move there!
So I asked her why she wanted to move to California and she said because it's such a wonderful place to live! Look at all the fun they had on the Beverly Hills 90210 TV show!

Yes, she actually said that.
Yes, she was blonde... not that I'm judging. ;)

I emigrated to Utah from London, UK. Everyone said I’d hate it for the people, politics, religion and the isolated place.

Well, 36 years later, I’m more than happy here. The people are nice and it a great place to have raised a family.

I don’t debate religion or politics with people I don’t know well.

As for isolation, there’s now 3.5 million people here and it’s a major tech hub with a booming economy.

Yes, the climate and altitude take a bit of getting used to, but you can’t have everything.

I’ve no regrets and I’m sure they’ll bury me here.
