• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nothing like waiting till the last minute!!

SteveMac

MOgang Member & Monster Member,
ConnieMac and I rode to Cuba last weekend for a work day with the MoGang. Rained like crazy on us. I knew that I needed a rear tire in the worst way, but I waited almost too long!

I ordered the Khumo Ecsta and am very happy with the look and tread pattern. I also BLACKED out the rear wheel to match the fronts. Also did quite a bit of clean up and general maintenance. Busy day!

Wow. I am tired and still have to get all packed up!

Pics of the days work.

How many black Sharpies did it take to that? :joke:

I spent the day trying to get my under lighting a little further on. Only two more lengths to solder and fit. I need a real lift or lift table. Pulling up on ramps or jacking it up isn't cutting the mustard anymore. We're last minute trying to get ready for SF 2012. Can't wait to see it... it's only a few days away. Ugh!!!

Sorry Steve to ask this on your post I know Len cruises these posts. Cant make it to Spyderfest but will be in Cuba June 14th to get some work done take care and hope to see your Spyder up close in person

aren't the spokes supposed to line up with those of the wheel???

Good eye! ;)
That is the way they "were", based on the pics I took during disassembly. But when I was positioning the sprocket around to find the right fit, I happened upon this configuration which gives a six spoke appearance like the fronts. And filled in the open areas. So, I looked it over and it looked logical to me that it would still be in balance upon assembly and I couldn't see any other major downside, except valve stem location. I liked the fuller look, so I put it together and took off for a spin to see. I figured with Lamont's method of removing the wheel, it would be an easy fix if I needed to. Lo and behold, It all balanced (I used ride on) and seems to runs true and smooth. I am going to test again today. Getting to the valve stem will be fun, but I can make that work. The spokes, offset like this really fill in and blackout the rear wheel area. It almost "disappears".

Can anyone think of any issue I would have other than the valve stem?
